Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking.
It depends on the size of the property and the volume of contents. As a rough guide, a single room or granny flat typically runs $500–$1,200, a small unit $1,200–$2,500, a standard 3-bedroom house $2,000–$4,500, and a large home with heavy contents $4,000–$6,500 or more. We always confirm an exact, fixed price in writing before work starts.
Not always — you generally just need to be able to show you have the legal authority to have the property cleared, whether that's as the named executor, a court-appointed administrator, or with the agreement of all beneficiaries. We check this with every job before scheduling any work.
We sort everything by hand rather than clearing it as a single load. Usable furniture, clothing and household goods are donated to Melbourne charities; electronics, metals and other materials are recycled where possible; and only genuine waste is sent to landfill. Sentimental or personal items are set aside separately for the family to review first.
A single room or small unit can often be completed in a day. A standard family home usually takes one to two days depending on the volume of contents and any access issues. We agree the timeline with you as part of the quote.
Yes — every job finishes with a written inventory outlining what was removed and where it went (donated, recycled, disposed of, or set aside for the family).
